Superfast Internet Access Is Planned For Southend

Buffering… This is probably one of the most infuriating things to see when you are trying to watch something online. We at Airport Business Park experienced this last night when watching Game of Thro… a very important documentary… Therefore, the fact that superfast Internet access is planned for Southend is music to our ears! Discussions about the superfast Internet are happening at an informative event, run by Southend Council.

This will focus on the future use of digital technology in the borough, including an update on the exciting dark fibre 50km highway currently being developed to provide ultra-fast network connectivity to Southend. Speakers on the day include Rob Tinlin, chief executive of Southend Council, who will provide a comprehensive update on the latest developments, as well as speakers from CityFibre and OneCom.

Ann Holland, councillor for culture, tourism and the economy, said: “This is a great opportunity to see how Southend is using new technology to maximise potential across the borough”. Airport Business Park cannot wait for the superfast internet speeds, it would be a very welcome improvement that, we think, no one would say no to! “The development being led by City Fibre and One Com will help create new investment, increase opportunities for business and provide a real boost to the local economy by providing ultra-fast network connectivity. Attend this event to find out much more and how it can improve your business.” The briefing will take place at South Essex College on Wednesday, March 8 from 7am to 10am. Airport Business Park highly recommends that everyone in Southend try to find out as much information as they can about this development
